Sausage and Rice Casserole with Maple
- 8 mild Italian sausages
- 1 packet of onion soup
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) maple syrup
- 500 ml (2 cups) long-grain rice
- 625 ml (2 1/2 cups) water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Sauté sausages in oil for 2 minutes over high heat. Add onion soup mix, maple syrup and rice, and stir well.
- Add water. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes over a very low heat.
